Rounded-Tip Pogo-Pin Test Leads for Four-Terminal Resistance Measurement

The L2141 Pogo Pin Test Leads are designed for precise DC four-terminal resistance measurements with the HIOKI RM3548-50 Portable Resistance Meter. They feature rounded, spring-loaded pogo-pin tips on both leads, providing stable and repeatable contact on metallic surfaces without damaging the material. This makes the L2141 ideal for precision resistance verification on clean or machined parts, including bonding checks on metallic joints, equipotential verification in aircraft and vehicle maintenance, and inspection of conductive assemblies.
Each lead pair is configured for four-terminal measurements with separate SOURCE and SENSE lines to minimize the influence of lead resistance and maintain consistent low-resistance readings. The gold-plated pogo-pin tips (Ø 3.55 mm) provide excellent conductivity and long service life, even in demanding applications with frequent measurement cycles.
Each tip applies a contact pressure of approximately 1.2 kg at a 4 mm stroke, ensuring reliable electrical contact on flat and even surfaces. The combined cable section simplifies handling and reduces cable clutter during operation, while the split probe section allows flexible and independent probe positioning on the test object.
With a total cable length of 3.0 m, the L2141 provides sufficient reach for both laboratory and field measurements. It is particularly suitable for DC resistance measurements on uncoated and sensitive metal surfaces. For applications requiring penetration through coatings, paint, or oxide layers, the L2142 puncture-pin test leads are recommended.
Although originally developed for the HIOKI RM3548-50, the L2141 is also compatible with the earlier RM3548 and other DC four-terminal resistance meters equipped with compatible connectors.
