Signal induction clamp for the FT6041 Earth Tester for two-clamp earth resistance measurement in multiple-earthed systems, for conductors up to 52 mm and busbars up to 78 mm × 20 mm, 2 m cable, CAT IV 300 V / CAT III 600 V.
The FT9847 is the signal induction clamp for stakeless earth resistance measurement with the FT6041. In this two-clamp method, the FT9847 injects the test signal into the grounding conductor, while the CT9848 Signal Detection Clamp senses the resulting current. Used together, the two clamps allow earth resistance to be measured in multiple-earthed systems without auxiliary earth spikes.
The induction clamp accommodates conductors up to 52 mm in diameter and busbars up to 78 mm × 20 mm. It connects to the FT6041 via a 2 m cable with 4 mm plugs and is specified for CAT IV 300 V and CAT III 600 V. The clamp is intended only for injecting the test signal and is not designed for current measurement.
For measurement, the FT9847 and CT9848 are clamped around the same grounding conductor. The two clamps need to face the same direction and be positioned at least 150 mm apart. Together, they add clamp-based earth resistance measurement for multiple-earthed systems to the FT6041, covering work that would otherwise require a dedicated earth ground clamp.
Both the FT9847 Signal Induction Clamp and the CT9848 Signal Detection Clamp are already included in the FT6041-91 Earth Tester Set.
