TestEquity Limited Warranty: Parts and Labor

TestEquity LLC (TestEquity) provides a limited warranty for Environmental Chambers ("Equipment") manufactured and sold by TestEquity. This warranty ensures the Equipment is free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance.

1. Parts Warranty:
   • Coverage Duration: 3 years from the date of invoice.
   • Coverage Scope: TestEquity will repair or replace defective parts found to be faulty due to manufacturing or material defects.
   • Return of Parts: Defective parts may need to be returned (freight prepaid) or inspected on-site. TestEquity will determine whether the part qualifies for repair or replacement.
   • Standard vs. Non-Standard Parts: Standard accessories and components are covered; non-standard parts are only covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable.
   • Statutory Warranty Rights: For newly purchased goods, statutory warranty rights apply for a minimum of two years, covering defects present at the time of delivery.
     
     
2. Labor Warranty:
   • Years 1–2: TestEquity covers labor costs for repairs involving specific spare parts found to be defective under warranty, subject to prior approval.
     • Note: Model TEC1 is excluded from labor coverage under this clause.
   • Year 3: Labor and installation costs for repairs are the responsibility of the purchaser.
   • Outside of these provisions, labor associated with non-warranty repairs or installations is not covered and is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Special Conditions:

• Model TEC1: All warranty repairs require the chamber to be shipped to TestEquity (freight prepaid). On-site labor coverage does not apply.

Claim Process

• Notify TestEquity in writing within 10 days of discovering a defect during the warranty period.
• TestEquity will determine the best method for service, which may include sending replacement parts for self-installation (if simple) or requiring the Equipment to be returned to TE when feasible.
• TestEquity must authorise any field service or replacement parts. Labor and part costs will not be reimbursed without prior approval.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Defects or damage caused during shipment (unless TestEquity handles the shipping).
• Defects or damage resulting from:
  • Mishandling, improper installation, or maintenance not following TestEquity's guidelines.
  • Modifications, abuse, misuse, neglect, accidents, or natural disasters.
• Certain parts and consumables, including:
  • Interior light bulbs, viewing windows, paint, surface finishes, port plugs, and refrigerant.

Limitations

• This warranty is limited to repair or replacement of parts or Equipment as determined by TestEquity.
• TestEquity disclaims liability for delays, loss of use, or any incidental or consequential damages, except as stated here.
• Implied warranties (e.g., fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability) are excluded.

Additional Terms

• This warranty applies only to the original Purchaser and is non-transferable.
• Any modifications to this warranty must be agreed upon in writing by both TestEquity and the Purchaser.
• If any provision of this warranty is invalidated, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
